Self-defense lectures and seminars ranging in length from one to 10 hours, geared toward a variety of populations, including women, children, teens at risk, the elderly and people with special needs can be held at your workplace, club or organization, with your friends, family and co-workers.
Many self-defense moves didn’t work for me when I started karate training.  At 4’11” and 93 lbs. I was simply too small.  Over the years I have intensively studied what works and have eliminated what doesn’t.  I’ve taken moves from Krav Maga, Karate, Jujitsu and Aikido and adapted them so that no matter what your size they will work for you.

Many self-defense systems are based on the belief that you are walking down the street and BAM, with no warning, you are grabbed or hit.  In reality, most assaults (both sexual assaults and some acts of terrorism) are preceded by a victim selection process.

Our courses specialize in identifying the psychological aspects of an attack, analyzing our own behavior patterns, both verbal and physical, to convince the attacker to reject us as victims.  Assertiveness training, role-playing and a close examination of the attacker-victim mentalities enable this goal.

You will learn:  Statistics, Myths and Realities about Violence, Psychology, Confrontation Training and Social Awareness.  You will learn to defend against being grabbed, choked, attacked with a knife and gun, how to kick, punch, throw and fall, and use your voice as a weapon.  Each hour invested in studying self-defense adds to the probability that if you need it, it will work for you.
